Here is the never-ending list of the jobs that we depend on volunteers for to keep our track running smoothly!!! Please check with registration or the Race Director to sign up to volunteer. Thanks in advance for your help!
REGISTRATION:
Signing up riders for races (in the computer system with ABA software www.motomaker.com ), running and posting motos, making moto corrections, processing new and/or renewal memberships, collecting race fees, answering miscellaneous questions, passing out new rider flyers and signing up G.E.A.R. members. Sending T.O.R.F.'s (Track Operator Reporting Forms) to ABA. .50/50:
Selling 50/50 tickets and collecting money throughout the races (particularly during the larger races).

Getting to the track a little early to help set-up the concession stand, work during the races and then doing a short clean-up afterwards.FACILITIES UP-KEEP: Click here for job description
Helping before and after the races to set-up and take down the gate ram, air hoses, signage, speaker systems, etc.. Making sure that trash is in the trash cans and the park is clean.TRACK MAINTENANCE: Click here for job description
Volunteers are needed to help with track maintenance to keep the track free of rocks, grass, to keep it watered, swept, striped, and dragged to keep it free of ruts. Sometimes we need help moving dirt, re-shaping parts of the track and help is needed to cover and un-cover the track to keep it dry during threat of inclement weather. Help is also needed to keep the facilities mowed edged and trimmed.

Volunteers are needed for race days to stand out on the track during the practices and races to read rider numbers to the announcer, call fouls in the corners and to check on downed riders.
STAGERS: Click here for job description
These volunteers stand on the starting hill during the races, call out each moto to the riders readying them for the gate to make sure that the correct riders are in each moto and in the correct gates. They will also signal the gate dropper to begin the race when riders are set.
GATE DROPPER/Starter: Click here for job description
The gate dropper runs the starting gate (from the tower) and times each one so that the motos and the announcer are in sync.
FINISH LINE: Click here for job description
This volunteer stands/sits at the finish line and records the finishes of each moto during the races. THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL RESULTS FROM THE RACES THAT ARE TURNED INTO THE ABA (AMERICAN BICYCLE ASSOCIATION).

Volunteer/s stand at the finish line and hand out ribbons/or trophy slips to the riders as they cross the finish line. Other Volunteer/s are needed in the registration office to hand out the trophies to the riders as they present their trophy slips.ANNOUNCER: Click here for job description
This volunteer announces the races, the riders meeting (official ABA rules and regulations) as well as any special announcements i.e.. First time riders, birthdays, special awards etc... Plays the "National Anthem" during the parade lap, announces "Friends of the Track" and Upcoming Events. Plus keeps track of motos on the track and finishes of each moto.THERE ARE MANY MORE JOBS THAT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN LISTED AND ALSO SOME MORE THAT WILL POP UP THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, SO PLEASE BE READY TO VOLUNTEER. BECAUSE OUR KIDS COUNT ON US...If you are interested in volunteering for any of these jobs contact any official and they will put you in touch with the necessary person/s.

This is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. All money made off of T-shirts, candy entry fees, etc., are put back into the track for improvements, trophies, etc. No one here is drawing a salary. Everyone you see helping is a volunteer.
